To provide men and women with an opportunity to play competitive touch football through an organized structure in an enjoyable environment that encourages good sportsmanship and positive growth in athletic skills.

Location:
Touch Football BC is located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Games are played in Vancouver, New West, Surrey, Burnaby and Coquitlam

The Game:
A 7 against 7 game of touch football (women play flag); no-contact, one hand touch.
The basic rules are those of the Canadian Football League with out the linemen and with no contact.
A deliberate touch above the waist stops play. Defence uses a rusher from 5 yards from the line of scrimmage.
All players on offence are eligible to catch the ball. Offence has 3 downs to get 10 yards for a first down.
There are no field goals. And the game is broken into 4 quarters.

The game has been played continuously since 1975 in League format. There are two seasons: Spring (April to June) and Fall (September to November). There are six mens divisions each of eight teams (Top Flight, Intermediate and Rec) and two Women's divisions: A and B of eight teams.

There are other men's leagues in Abbotsford, Kelowna, Prince George, Cranbrook, and with women's leagues in Victoria and Cowichan.

The Players:
Vancouver: (Ages 18+, usually to mid 50's)
There are about 900 players (750 men and 150 women).

Victoria: 150 men, 100 women.
Abbottsford: 26 teams: 350 men.
Cowichan: 150 men, 100 women.
Cranbrook: 100 men.
Kelowna: 100 men.
